Jashore travel guide, Khulna Division

Jashore lies in the south-west on the Indian border, home to Benapole, the country's largest land port on the road to Kolkata. Its fields at Godkhali and Jhikargacha are known for flower farming, and the district is famous for date-palm molasses. Sagardari in Keshabpur is the birthplace of the poet Michael Madhusudan Dutt, with a museum at his family home, and the area also holds ancient Buddhist ruins such as Bharat Bhaina.
