Sagardari is a village in Keshabpur upazila of Jashore, best known as the birthplace of Michael Madhusudan Dutt, one of the great poets of the Bengali language. He was born here into a Hindu family and studied in Sagardari until he was about fifteen, when his father sent him to Hindu College in Calcutta.
