
Kusumba Mosque

NaogaonNaogaon in the north of Rajshahi Division is one of the country's main rice and mango districts, crossed by the Atrai and Little Jamuna rivers. It holds Paharpur, the ruins of Somapura Mahavihara, a great Buddhist monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other sites include the Kusumba Mosque (1558–59) on the Atrai, Patisar, where Rabindranath Tagore managed his family estate, and Altadighi National Park, declared in 2011. About 2.78 million people live in roughly 3,436 km² (2022 census).
