Alutila Cave, known locally as Matai Hakor, is a natural tunnel about 100 m long inside Alutila ("potato hill") near Khagrachari town, in Matiranga upazila. The hill is surrounded by deep green forest.
Inside, the cave is completely dark and a stream of cold water runs along its rocky floor, so visitors carry torches or the flaming brands sold at the entrance. Expect to get your feet wet and wear shoes with a good grip.
