Gazipur Safari Park covers about 3,810 acres of sal forest in Gazipur, around 40 km north of Dhaka near the Dhaka–Mymensingh highway, which makes it one of the largest safari parks in Asia. It opened on 31 October 2013; it was originally named after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and was renamed in 2024, reopening to visitors on 15 November that year.
The park is divided into sections including the Core Safari, Safari Kingdom, Biodiversity Park and a children's park. In the Core Safari, only authorised buses may enter, carrying visitors past the animals. It holds about 3,000 animals of 47 species, among them tigers, lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, bears, nilgai, gharials and many birds.
